EnvLock started in a hostel room in Kumasi, after the fifth time we watched a teammate paste a production database URL into a WhatsApp group chat. The problem wasn't malice — it was friction. Secret management tools were either enterprise-priced, painfully complex, or both. So devs did what devs do: they took the shortcut.
We're building the tool we wished we had. Encrypted by default. Fast enough that the CLI feels invisible. Free for students and small teams, because security shouldn't be a privilege.
EnvLock is built by developers, for developers and we're shipping it from Ghana for the world.

Tools should disappear. If a dev has to read docs to ship, we've already failed.

Free for students and small teams, forever. Security shouldn't be a tax on early-stage builders.
